Nagoya City is home to over 2.3 million people. It is Japan's fourth largest incorporated city. Centrally located, it is one of the nation's most important transportation hubs, historical centers and industrial powerhouses.
The symbol of the city is Nagoya Castle that was completed in 1615, topped with golden shachihoko, votive golden-dolphin roof devices and boasting the largest floorspace of any tower keep. You may dump into cosplayers dressed up as samurai lords while wandering the grounds. They will show you what samurai were like in action.
20min-drive from Nagoya Castle, Enjoy a leisurely stroll in Shiratori Japanese Garden, In the center of the garden is a pond that replicates the Kiso River, originating from the Kiso-Ontakesan flowing into the large sea of Ise Bay. A Japanese tea ceremony house Seiutei is available in the garden to try green tea with Japanese confectionery.
